Are you ready to experience some of the best trail running that Eryri/Snowdonia has to offer?
We are spoilt for choice here in Eryri, whether you’re looking for the rolling tracks of the stunning Snowdonian valleys or the exhilarating highs of the mountain tops, we can’t wait to take your trail running to the next level.
With so many amazing mountains and routes in Eryri, we’re spoilt for choice - you’ll be tested and treated, on this rewarding running weekend. Whilst this is an introduction to trail running course, a good level of hilly running fitness will certainly help you get the most of this weekend.
Ideally you should be used to running off road, on trails which may sometimes be undulating and uneven. It’s hilly here in Eryri, so the more hills you can include in your preparation, the better!
Over the course of the weekend your dedicated run leaders will work with and support you to become self sufficient trail runners by the end of day 2. They’ll share as much knowledge as they can on the following topics:
- trail finding and route selection
- movement on uneven, mountainous terrain
- interpreting mountain/remote weather
- emergency procedures
- kit and equipment
To give you the best possible experience and ensure you learn as much as possible from the weekend, we’ll take into account the aims, abilities and experience of the group when considering route choices for each day. Routes will also be dependent on the weather on the day and may mean we need to avoid some more exposed areas of the National Park.
The decisions will always be made with safety and your enjoyment at the forefront and discussed with you in the evening or morning brief.
