- An in-depth understanding of the upland environment, transferable to many popular walking areas of the UK and Ireland
Hill Skills with RAW Adventures
RAW Adventures is proud to be an accredited Mountain Training provider with over 40 years’ mountain leading experience. We love supporting people to be independent hill walkers, and understand that venturing off the beaten track can be daunting at first. That’s why we keep our training groups small (1 trainer to every 8 participants), enabling us to provide a safe, sociable experience that’s tailored precisely to the needs of each group. Our Hill Skills leaders allow plenty of time for enjoying the beautiful landscapes you’ll be learning in and share their in-depth local knowledge.
If, after your course, you’re inspired to take your experience further and learn to lead others, we offer a wide range of accredited Mountain Training courses to continue your outdoor journey. Hill Skills is frequently used as a stepping stone to the Hill & Moorland Leader, or Lowland Leader qualifications.
A fantastic, friendly company of professionals. I would highly recommend RAW for all those wanting to learn key skills to get out on the hills. Many thanks for the professional service.

Fabulous course delivered expertly by Helen and Dan, it was fun and interactive, ample opportunity to ask questions and consolidate learnings. They had a wonderful way of teaching which flowed through the day covering all aspects of the syllabus which we then reviewed the following day. Would highly recommend RAW Adventures.
