Read some of our client feedback from groups and individuals.

I am getting in contact to share how much I enjoyed the lowland leader course I completed this weekend. Our instructor Jason was knowledgeable, friendly and catered the course to our requirements.
I learnt so much this weekend that I can pass onto my DofE participants when teaching navigation, map reading and walking in lowland terrain. Jason had an excellent manner, maintaining a professional but entertaining tone to the course, ensuring that we learnt as well as having an enjoyable weekend. I look forward to hopefully booking onto another one of your courses soon.

I did the Welsh 3000s over three days with a group of friends, and overall it was a fantastic experience. The guiding throughout was excellent – especially on day one over Crib Goch. Our guide was knowledgeable, full of interesting facts about the area, and really made us feel safe and supported on such a challenging section of the walk.
The organisation of the trip was generally very good, and both our guides and Jason were brilliant. For a mixed group, Patrick held us together and enabled everyone to complete! The only thing that let it down slightly was a last-minute change to our accommodation. About a week before the trip, we were told we’d be staying in a private house rather than the originally planned youth hostel. This wouldn’t have been a problem, but sharing a house with another group we didn’t know felt a bit uncomfortable, whereas a hostel would have had more of a neutral, communal feel. I think a bit more clarity in the communication around this would have helped me feel more prepared.
That said, it didn’t take away from what was a truly awesome and rewarding experience. I’d absolutely recommend the trip – the routes, guides, and overall trip were all excellent. The cans of coke, cheesy music in the van and even a flask of coffee refill were lovely, thank you.

The instructors were spot on; super knowledgeable, supportive, and great at striking the balance between making sure we knew our stuff while encouraging us to dig deeper, explore resources, and develop our own learning journey. Very inclusive, very informative, ticks all the right boxes.
We experienced two different teaching styles, both brilliant in their own right. Together they gave us a great example of how leadership doesn’t have to look one particular way to be effective. It really highlighted the importance of knowing your group, your conditions, and your own style...pick what filter needed.
The feedback was super useful and tied in really well with my personal development plans. All in all, it’s given me the confidence to keep pushing forward in my ML journey, and maybe even stand still in a blizzard with a smile.
I’ll definitely be back for consolidation days and assessments. Thanks, RAW Adventures — you’ve definitely levelled me up!

I found the Lowland Leader Training Course amazing this weekend. We had Chris who took us through the syllabus with such knowledge and interest. You could really feel his passion in the outdoors. He catered the sessions to each individual.
We were all from varied backgrounds and wanted the qualification for different reasons. I intend on taking clients out into nature who have suffered a bereavement. (I am a bereavement counsellor) Chris was very patient with me as I didn't have any map skills but really helped and encouraged me. He also gave me great tips on how to improve my knowledge.
If you want to do this course - just go for it. It was brilliant. RAW adventures were great at communicating and I will be booking my assessment with them for sure.

Had a great two days being led over Tryfan and Yr Wyddfa, the knowledge given was brilliant, something you wouldn't get if just doing it yourself.
Definitely gave me confidence going up Crib Goch having someone there talking you through it. The team were all lovely, I would highly recommend booking one of their recce days and will be booking on to another in the future.

It was great to do some scrambling, and Luca did an excellent job in guiding and informing us throughout the day. He is clearly a true pro and an excellent ambassador for RAW. Many thanks for your help in organising for us and pass on our thanks to Luca and the wider team.

Pre-event communication with the RAW team was great and went a long way to reassure me (they made a point that they welcomed all abilities). All official communication was comprehensive, including the route and mandatory kit list.
On the day, the meeting point was easy to find, and the RAW team were friendly and welcoming. Team size appeared appropriate to the group size (not that I am an expert). This allowed for the differing running paces. There were plenty of stop points (including one at the local café) which allowed for small rest bites and conversation.
The ascent up Snowdon was, as you would expect, a challenge involving multiple terrain and some scrambling. RAW were supportive through-out, and as someone who was usually last – I never felt judged or a hinderance. In fact, the team gave me positive feedback that I could do the UTS 50 in May.
In summary, a well organised recce which gave me the confidence that I could do the actual event. Great team spirit and support. RAW Adventures was great, would recommend.
