Lowland Leader Award Training

Posted on March 14th 2017 by Ross Worthington

Day 1 of a Mountain Training Lowland Leader Award training course for young leaders working towards assisting on DofE Expeditions for @AS Explore Outdoor. Great to catch their enthusiasm and energy at this stage plus their knowledge and skills already gained through The Scout Association and personal walking experience. Ordnance Survey Trig Point found at a high point of 55m no less… #YoungLeaders

Day 2 – Mountain Training Lowland Leader Award training with amazing views from The National Trust Bickerton Hill and surrounding areas. Well worked team: managing route planning, changes to route plans, risk assessing, identifying heathland vegetation, group managment, navigating as individuals and a team and generally enjoying a wonderful Spring day! Thanks @AS Explore Outdoor for having us and best of luck to these Assistant Instructors.

Leaders in the making…
